Meet 42 adoptable dogs and cats looking for love in the Tulsa area | Pets

Penelope aka Penny was alone trying to protect her seven little babies. The weather wasn’t good for the animals outside when we had all that relentless rain in the spring, but she and the babies survived (one pup almost didn’t survive, but thank goodness for the good vets and the families of caring home!) Fortunately, we were able to get off the streets, and after taking care of her and her babies, she is now ready to find a forever home! We consider it a “pocket pit” because it is so small itself! She only weighs around 30 pounds and can barely contain her excitement when she sees you! And she has the most beautiful roan (reddish) colored coat in the sun! You can’t see it in the picture, but it’s gorgeous!! She does deal with a little separation anxiety when left completely alone, which after her experience is understandable! But when she has another dog for company when her people aren’t around, she’s in doggie heaven! She does well on a leash, loves other dogs and children, is crate and house trained. She’s just a great little dog for someone who wants a sweet little dog!
Penny is believed to be one year old and fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. For more information, visit the CARE Rescue website at carerescueok.org
